How to Login to Xfinity Gateway

Connect to Xfinity Network

Connect via WiFi or Ethernet cable to your Xfinity Gateway. For initial setup, wired connection recommended. Default WiFi name (SSID) and password are printed on the gateway label (usually on bottom or side).

Open Browser & Enter IP Address

Open any web browser and enter one of these IP addresses:

http://10.0.0.1http://192.168.1.1http://192.168.0.1

Make sure to type http:// before the IP address.

Enter Default Credentials

Enter the default login credentials:

Username: admin

Password: password

Credentials are case-sensitive. Username is always admin for all Xfinity Gateways.

Access xFi Dashboard

Successfully logged in! You'll see the Xfinity Gateway admin interface. From here, configure WiFi settings, change passwords, set up xFi Pods, manage devices, and enable parental controls.

Important Security Note

After first login, change the Default admin Password immediately. Go to Gateway β†’ Connection β†’ WiFi β†’ Change Password. Use a strong password to protect your network from unauthorized access.

10.0.0.1 Not Loading

If the login page doesn't load, try these solutions:

Wrong Password or Forgot Password

Default Xfinity Gateway credentials:

Username: admin (always lowercase)

Password: password (lowercase)

Note: Username cannot be changed - always "admin"

Changed & Forgot Password? You must perform a factory reset to restore default credentials. All custom settings will be erased including WiFi name/password.

Factory Reset Xfinity Gateway

To reset your Xfinity Gateway to factory defaults:

  1. Locate the RESET button (small recessed button on back or bottom)
  2. Use a paperclip or pin to press and hold the RESET button
  3. Hold for 30 seconds (LED lights will blink)
  4. Release button when lights cycle off and on
  5. Wait 2-3 minutes for Gateway to fully restart
  6. Login with default credentials: admin/password

Warning: Factory reset erases ALL settings: WiFi name, WiFi password, admin password, xFi Pods configuration, parental controls, port forwarding, and any customizations. You'll need to reconfigure everything from scratch.
